The planet's natural resources are finite; we can't go on extracting them infinitely. Therefore, increased efforts are being made not to waste these resources. One possibility is to keep reusing existent resources over and over. Separating waste is key. That's the premise for materials to be recycled and new objects to be made from used ones. If as many people as possible join the effort, the depletion of natural resources can be slowed down.

And now our question to you: In your opinion, what is the best way to organize waste collection and separation at home so that it can be recylced later?

This challenge consists of creating a poster that illustrates how waste can be effectively separated and collected in people's homes.

Every student from cycle 1 to 1ère can participate in this challenge.

Over to you
  • Have a look around your home. Where are the household waste bins? Are the recycling bins near by? What is collected and what is separated? Is there a single site or are there more sites for waste collection and separation? Are you satisfied with your hosehold's waste management or is there room for improvement?
  • You certainly know about the Recycling center in your vicinity, and, in addition to the regular trash collection, there may also be separate paper and glass collection services in your municiplialty. You certainly also know what you can put in the blue valuorlux bag and what materials you have to take to the SuperDreksKecht.
